𓋹 Detailed Itinerary

Siwa, located in the deserts of Matruh lies a diverse paradise on earth, that remains unmatched compared to anywhere in the world. The geography is unique with soft sand dunes with oases, natural hot and cold springs, ancient hidden gems, and amazing views from every angle. Everyone relaxes, rewinds, and rejuvenates in their own way, Siwa accommodates all of them.

Before the Trip (Day 0): The Journey to Siwa

• We'll have a gathering at the meeting point agreed upon based on your location in Egypt, Expo Egypt will coordinate the transportation for you and take you to Siwa in an air-conditioned vehicle or arrange a flight for you to the nearest airport in Matruh.

Day 1: Arriving at The Paradise in the Desert

• Upon arrival, we'll check you in to your hotel and serve a traditional breakfast. Then the journey begins by going back in time and visiting the Temple of Amun and the Temple of Alexander the Great, known as the Temple of the Oracle since Alexander the Great made a journey to visit it, where he transcended the realm of man and became if not a god, then the son of one! Then, we'll cool down by taking a Siwa’s most famous spring, the Cleopatra Spring, a large stone pool where the queen bathed with bubbling crystal-clear waters. After that, we'll have a delicious lunch before seeing the sunset from one of the tiny islands located in the heart of Siwa. We'll conclude the night with a candle-lit dinner before taking you back to your hotel.

Day 2: Miracles in the Sand and Salt Lakes

• After having a delicious breakfast, you'll want to make sure your phones are charged well because you won't be able to stop taking photos. First, we'll take you to the Mountain of the Dead, containing the important tombs showcasing a fusion of Egyptian and Greek artistic styles, legend has it this is where Alexander the Great might have been buried! We will pass by the Tomb of Si Amun, which contains beautifully colored and well-preserved reliefs. Then, we'll head over to the Shali Fortress where you can experience a spectacular panorama view of Siwa, the fortress was built from unique salt-soil rocks in the 12th century and has been registered in the World Monuments Watch due to its incredible survival throughout time. From this monument, we'll ascend up to Dakrour Mountain, renowned for being a therapeutic hub, then descend down to the nearby Siwa Festival Grounds where ancient Siwan tribes formed peace treaties to allow Siwa to become a peaceful land. After that, we'll take you to the area you've seen all over the internet that put Siwa on the map: the legendary salt lakes, which contain more salt than the Dead Sea. Once we're done floating in the salt lakes, we'll have a light lunch then have some tea and watch the sunset from the salt lakes. To start concluding the day, we'll enjoy a candlelit hot spring before dinner. We'll end the night with chats and songs around a bedouin bonfire before taking you back to your hotel.

Day 3: Living the Saharan Lifestyle

• Today, we will experience the life of a true modern-day bedouin. After a delicious breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we'll stroll through the Siwa Market Square (Bazaar) to catch a glimpse and shop for Siwa's finest locally made products. Then we'll hop into 4X4 Land Cruisers and embark on a desert safari through the Great Sand Sea desert, the third-largest sand accumulation in the world (a sand dune the size of England). To relax from the adventure we'll take a dip in the Bir Wahed Hot Spring, known to locals as "Well #1" for being very popular, before having lunch. To bring your energy levels back up and refresh you for the next adventure, we'll take a dip in the Cold Springs. We'll head over to the Fossil Area of the desert where you'll be walking in dunes with millions of pieces of fossils from millions of years ago. Then, we'll head over to a softer sand dune to do some sandboarding before watching the sunset with cups of tea. We'll begin heading over to our home for the night, Tassili Luxury Desert Camp, to have dinner in our candlelit camp. We'll cap the night with excitement, starting with a bonfire and tea, which will eventually fire up to a Bedioun party night in the desert before going to bed under the stars.

Day 4: Farewell Desert

• After waking up to a bedouin breakfast in the desert, we'll take you back to the town of Siwa to freshen up in a hotel. We'll provide you with free time to enjoy the town of Siwa before driving you back to your meeting point. We'll stop for lunch in the North Coast area during the drive back. Thank you for choosing us to show you around Siwa, if you have another experience or extension with us we'll take you to your hotel and call it a night before your next experience.
