𓋹 Detailed Itinerary
The Western Desert & New Valley: Untouched Mysteries, The valley of oases, with beautiful lands with sunsets falling on yellow oceans of sand with lush green islands. There are many lands that remain untouched and yet to be discovered, where you can peacefully sleep under the stars beside the high palm trees. Enlighten yourself by experiencing a natural environment that provides an unmatched sense of complete relaxation.
Day 1: Settling in the Oasis
- We’ll pick you up early in the morning, around 6 am, from an agreed meeting point that we’ll coordinate together. The journey to Bahariya Oasis begins with an estimated arrival by 11 am. Once we arrive, we’ll check you in your hotel, give you time to rest from the journey, and have a traditional lunch. Once you've settled in, the experience will commence by cruising around Bahariya Oasis in a 4x4 Land Cruiser. This oasis was the center of agriculture and trade during the Pharaonic era. During this cruise, we’ll make a visit to the camel farm and the palm tree farm. Camels and dates are prized amongst the bedouins of this area. We’ll also go through Bawiti to catch amazing panoramic views of the area. Then, we’ll head over to Lake Marun or one of the many salt lakes, a perfect spot for stunning photos and a sense of relaxation. After that, we'll visit Ingleez Mountain, known as the “English Mountain,” because it was a British lookout post during World War I that protected British Egypt from tribal invasions coming from Libya. While the modest remains of the lookout post are still here, the real reason to come up here is for the panoramic views across the oasis and the desert beyond. From there, we’ll head to a hot water spring, which Bahariya Oasis is famous for. Its high mineral content is renowned for its healing and relaxation properties. We’ll begin commencing the night by watching the sunset from the dunes, drinking Bedouin tea before serving a special dinner, and ending the night by taking you back to your hotel.
Day 2: Discovering the Marvels of the Desert
- After having a delicious breakfast, we’ll get on our 4x4 land cruisers and begin our desert safari to explore the Black Desert, home to a myriad of mountain ranges, each one carrying a coat of black stones thrown out of volcanoes millions of years ago. The main attraction here is Al-Marsous Mountain, one of the most well-known mountains in the area, a volcanic crater covered entirely with volcanic jasper dating back to the Jurassic period. We'll head to the Black Desert's high point, Mount Panorama for amazing panoramic photos. After taking your photos, we’ll descend from the mountain and head over to the Haiz Valley, known for having dark pebbles scattered all over its sands. This valley is also home to Qasr Masuda, the ruins of an Ancient Roman Fortress that used to guard the valley and provide a safe route for traders and merchants. We’ll take a break from the adventures and have lunch, then the journey by heading towards the White Desert. The first stop will be the Crystal Mountain, you'll be amazed by these enormous hunks and ridges made up of sparkling crystal quartz. Then, we’ll head to Agabat Valley, a valley defined by its name in Arabic, “uniquely stunning,” with its beautiful mountain formations and pale rocks that look like sugar loaves. After that, we’ll head to the main attraction, the White Desert National Park, a “Lonely Planet Top Choice” globally sought after. Here we will be cruising through Farafra Oasis, passing by all the famous limestone rock formations with mysterious origins that were sculpted over time by sand and wind. It won’t just be sand during this experience as we’ll take you to Ein Khadra, a small green oasis that’s popular amongst locals. We’ll also try to catch a glimpse of fennec foxes by seeing their beautiful dens. To conclude the night, we’ll begin setting up the camp in the desert. Once everything is set up, we’ll serve a candle-lit dinner followed by a Bedouin night of dancing, singing, and drinking tea around a bonfire. Tonight, you’ll have the most relaxing sleep you’ve ever had in your life under the shining stars.
Day 3: A Final Stroll then a Farewell
- After enjoying your final breakfast which will be served in the middle of the desert, we’ll head back to town. We’ll take you around Baharia’s town and make a visit to the local bazaar market for you to have a chance to experience the local culture and traditional crafts. After that, we’ll have lunch before departing Baharia at 4 pm to take you back to your meeting point so that you can make it back by 7 pm. Thank you for choosing us to show you around the Western Desert, if you have another experience or extension with us we'll take you to your hotel and call it a night before your next experience.
