Djara Cave
$0.00
Djara Cave was made approximately 55 million years ago and is one of the few caves in Egypt. Scientists believe they were created by rain dissolving Eocene limestone to form stalactites and stalagmites. Prominent in its richness, the cave enjoys some huge rock formations at its center that were as tall as 6 meters high and 1.5 meters wide. The cave is also home to several 12,000-year-old carvings of animals, which is extremely rare to find in Africa since most drawings from this Neolithic time have only been found in Europe and Asia.
