Built in the 1928, the palace was built in a neo-Italian baroque style by Muhammad Bek Al-Shennawi, a member of the Egyptian parliament at the time. The palace was designed by an Italian architect and was so well ornate, that it's believed to be one of the most marvelous pieces of Italian architecture outside of Italy. It has also been recently renovated and thus is maintained in pristine conditions.
