Built in the 1890s by Khedive Abbas II, the Montazah Park was originally a summer luxury destination for royalty to get away from Cairo during the hot months of summer. The ground has a total of three palaces built on it that were used by royalty as vacation homes. The gardens are very well maintained with a beautiful pink ornate bridge and a very attractive seaside park that is open to the public. The palace is renowned for a distinctive design that combines different types of architectural styles: Byzantine, Gothic, Classic, a variety of Islamic styles, and it was decorated richly in the Baroque and Rococo styles that consist of amazing ornaments of plants and geometric designs.
